SINGAPORE - KUALA LUMPUR 5 DAY ITINERARY

Me and my friends went on a 5 day trip to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

On our first day, we met my college friend,  Au, who lives in Singapore with her family. Its  like a   reunion for both of us having not seen each other for long years. She and her husband also serves as our tourist guide and they even let us stay in their house. They toured us around Sentosa and  Marina Bay area  that includes Suntec City (they had electronics sale at that time and I got a 1Terabyte external hard disk on a lower price),   Esplanade, Marina bay sands  plus we got to watch the Light, Water and Sounds
presentation, "Wonderful world".

Second day, we didn't got to go around much because it's already late afternoon when we went out (talking about losing precious time, sigh!). Since we will be going to Kuala Lumpur on the night the next day, we decided to already  purchase our bus tickets. Then off we went to Orchard, had some shopping, I bought a cute shoes but I haven't used it until now and I don't know why ... hahaha!!!.. At dinner time, a friend of  one of my companion treated us to a dinner buffet at Marriott Hotel. It was kinda funny, we arrived in the hotel earlier than the one who will treat us, we asked if there's a reservation for that person and they said yes, there is. We didn't expect that they would let us be sitted before the reserved time. We were like just there  sitting in our table and  waiting  while all the other diners were already eating. We didn't know if we will get our food or just wait, I told them that maybe we can eat appetizers while waiting, someone said maybe we just wait. After a couple of minutes of laughing and debating me and my friend, AU, decided to get some appetizers, and the rest followed..hahahah!! after our second serving of appetizers, our companions finally arrived! I had to go ahead of them because I am meeting my relative, Tin, who also works and lives in Singapore. It was so nice of her to treat me a cup of Starbucks and let me sleep in her apartment since it was already midnight.

Third day, I had the chance to commute  alone in the city  since I slept in  Tine's boarding house .She had a  work the following day,  hence she can't accompany me. It was fun. After a nice bath, we went to the famous Chinatown. In here you will find the Sri Mariamman Temple, Chinatown plaza and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum. AT the Tooth relic, the third  floor level is the Museum of artifacts and buddhas', one of  my companion spent the whole time taking pictures each of the Buddhas!. Imagine a hundred or so Buddhas in the museum, that's how many pictures  she took. We teased her that at the top floor in the garden there are more Buddhas, the 10,000 Buddhas...hahaha!!.. We also met a Chinese woman who went out of her way to show us around the temple. She was so good explaining to us the meaning and history of what's inside the Temple especially in the 4th level wherein it houses the gold Tooth relic.

When we had enough of the Chinatown, we proceeded to Bugis Junction to met another friend of  my companion. We didn't stay long here because we need to go home for our trip to Kuala Lumpur later that night.

Fourth day, Kuala Lumpur! I didn't have any idea that you can tour most of the tourist spots in KL in just a day. I think one day is just more than enough. We departed in SG at around midnight. SG to KL by bus is 5-6 hours depending on  the traffic and immigration. Yeah, you got to pass to 2 immigrations of both countries at the boundary. It didn't took us long in the immigration since there were only 2 buses of tourist at that time. Take note that the bus you first  rode will be the same bus you will take when you go out of the immigration office (just to be clear). Btw, the bus is very comfortable, you have your own tv monitor, they gave us blankets and drinking water plus you can really recline your sit all the way, it feels like your sleeping in a bed.

Petronas Towers
We arrived in Kuala Lumpur at around 5am and everything was closed yet. We met 2 other Filipinos, a mother and son, and they became our travel companions for just a couple of hours, they would stay 2 days here. Since it was still dark we took just one  taxi going to the Petronas Tower and split the cost among our selves that way we can save on our transportation expenses.  Upon arrival at the Tower's facade there were already some people lining up, yeah that early! We were number 3 on the line. One person can line up for one group. Reason why you need to line up early is, they only give limited slots in going up to the sky bridge. At around 7:30am we were ushered inside and  again  lined up for the time slots. We were the first batch to go up that day and had our 15 minutes in the sky bridge. The view up there made all the effort worth it. After our sky bridge tour we parted ways with the mother and son. Armed with the city map I got  from the Suria mall concierge we went around the city until we had reached  the KL Tower, going up here is much easier than the Twin Tower because you don't need to fall in line and no time frame, you can stay as long as you want, and it's a 360° view of KL. From here, we took a cab to get to Batu Caves. I don't remember anymore how much we paid for the cab, but the price is for 2 tourist spots, Batu Caves and Istana Negrita. We should have  opted for 3 tourist spots if only we had known it earlier that it's difficult to get a ride at the Istana Negrita. We also went to KL's china town, SG's version is better and cleaner.I  wanted to go to Putrajaya but  my companions were already tired.  How we spent the rest of the day?, we stayed at Berjaya Times Square mall.. I also  wanted to go back to the Tower to see it during the night and  to at least to maximize  my time in Kl  but my companions would not want to go anymore, hay.  So much time was wasted while we were waiting for our bus going back to SG. We should have instead taken the bus departed earlier than our scheduled trip. Well, next time I would know what to do.

Fifth day, Back in Sg at around 5 am. it's our last day in Sg. Since all of us will be meeting our respective friends and relatives, we decided that we go out on our own and meet up later in the afternoon for our flight back to Manila. After my meeting with Tin, I roamed around the area to kill time before going home. I had some photo shot at the Raffle's hotel courtyard, got to go inside the Esplanade, passed by the Civil War Memorial Tower and see Chijmes and had some window shopping at the Raflles city mall, all that in just a half day.
I  really enjoyed my last half day in SG going around alone, I was able to see a lot of things..I think I am better off travelling alone... hahahaha!!!
