KAO SAN ROAD - BKK'S BACKPACKERS' PARADISE

Khao San Road is a small road located about a block from the Chao Phraya River at the northern side of Rattanakosin.

This road is famous among backpackers and budget travellers beacuse  of the cheap accommodations and travel deals in Thailand.It was also featured on Leonardo di Caprio film "The Beach"

 

There are lots of store that  line up the street selling dresses, shirts, skirts, accessories, shoes, and bags, usually for a bargain. Many of these are in vintage style.

 

Khao San Road offers some of the cheapest and most diverse food selections . Street carts on the road sell decent pad thai (fried noodles), quail eggs, roti (like a pancake), falafel, hummus, various bugs and some sell just cocktails.

 

 

For sore feet and body or just want to relax, massage parlors are scattered everywhere in the street for cheaper price.
