the city already foggy at two in the afternoon |
This city of pines is very memorable to me because of the many trips coming here with my late mother and when I am already old enough to travel alone, I would usually spend my school break here together with my cousins. And I would always celebrate my birthday here everytime the Panagbenga Festival(Flower festival) would coincide exactly on my natal day.
There are so many things to do and see in Baguio starting with the old favorites like the Burnham Park, the Cathedral, Mines View Park and strolling on the city's main street, the Session Road.
Just like everything else that grows, the city also have some new sights and tourist attractions to sustain its tourism industry. Most notable is the (re)development of the already tourist spot Camp John Hay. The infusion of the Tree Top Adventure and the Historical Core tour around the used to be US base makes it more tourist infested. If tired of nature tripping, there's a big shopping mall located just above the Session Road. For feel of the old Baguio there is the Tam-awan village.
And as if my dissappointment for the warm weather wasn't enough, I almost got toasted alive in the hostel I stayed, thanks but no thanks to Baden Powel Inn. I can still remember how nervous am I that time. For the story click here.
