HOW AND WHERE TO BOOK CARNEVALE TICKET: DO BRAZIL RIGHT

Booking a Carnevale ticket for the first time is daunting.

 It’s so much  different from  reserving a cinema ticket or a plane ticket maybe. First, you have to decide on what day then on what  sector do  you want to watch. Sambadrome  has 13 sectors and are divided into two sections: ODD and EVEN. It is very important to know your sector because going from one sector to another is complicated. In my case, my transfer or shuttle dropped me at sector 9 at  the ODD section and waited for the other shuttle to bring me to sector  8 at the EVEN section. It took us more than 30 minutes to reach my sector because  we had to go all they way around the Sambadrome passing through horrendous traffic and the line at the entrance gates.  If you look at the Sambadrome map sector 8 and 9 are just opposite each other but you can’t and you are not allowed to cross the runway. Further,  ticket prices vary from the  type of seat,   sector and day you want to watch. Sector 9 ,one of the most expensive sector, is exclusive for tourists only. Seat choices are grandstand, allocated seats or cadeiras , front boxes or frisas and  Camarotes or the suites.

After I had already decided on where would I want to stay in Sambadrome, what I did was  to search  online on how to get  tickets one year before my planned travel to Rio de Janeiro. There are numerous online companies that offer Carnival tickets. I don’t know if they are all legit but one thing is for sure all of them has negative comments from their previous clients. I checked out all the online agencies I came across with, read  all the reviews and sent numerous   emails to various agencies. Some of them replied and some didn’t sent any word at all. But there’s this one company  that stands out … And  that’s DoBrazilRight.

Why did I choose DoBrazilRight? 

1.They offer competitive price… their ticket prices are almost the same with what others are offering but I noticed that some  of their prices are better than others. Tickets are delivered at your accommodation. 

2. They are not only after their profits… Let me explain, as I said before it is daunting to book a ticket online much more to a person you have only known on the internet and the only  way of communication is via emails and Skype but Marcelo went out of his way to accommodate all my requests which other agencies…, well, some  I didn’t heard from them at all. I had already decided on booking a seat on sector 9, the tourists sector, but he explained to me why I should book sector 8 instead. I am thankful he did because I didn’t only had a blast but gained carioca friends too.. 

There was also a promo  he offered  but because I was still undecided I didn’t booked it right away. Few weeks passed I told Marcelo that I am availing it but the promo already expired. He was apologetic and offered me a free ticket in one of the post Carnevale competition parade. Too bad I was not anymore in Rio on the said day.  Further, See Number 4.

3. Marcelo is very patient… countless  inquiries and whats not plus the fact that there is no assurance that I will get my tickets from him but Marcelo still replies PROMPTLY and gave me the best he could offer.I highlighted promptly  because I get anxious when  someone took a long time to reply or don’t reply at all. I guess  some of you can relate to this. 

4. DoBrazilRight cares for their clients… when I told him my accommodation preferences for my Sambadrome transfer he suggested the best possible pick up points for me and which one is the safest given that I am solo and female. At the last minute he was able to find me an airport transfer. I had to crossed out “take a taxi “  because of my early morning arrival and I immediately sent an email to Marcelo if he could help me with my transportation from the airport to my accommodation and he actually did! I remember he told me that his personal driver was not available on the day of my arrival yet he did what he could and   sourced it out and voila! I had a friendly driver. The price?, it’s better than  the taxi rate considering the traffic in the city and  not to mention , it is more comfortable and I felt secured plus my driver became my instant tour guide. My flight was delayed for more than an hour but I easily found my smiling driver the moment I went out of the arrival area and happily handed me my actual Carnevale tickets.

5. Payment is easy as 123… At  first I was hesitant to give my credit card details because the payment mode was new to me. But base on my voice call conversations with Marcelo I knew that I could trust him. 

Do Brazil Right is synonymous to Marcelo  Zahar.  

He is the heart and soul of the company. Fact is, I always recommend him to anyone who asks about Carnevale tickets. He made all my requests possible as if I am his only client. The first time we talked over the phone it feels like we were old friends.
